The 6th annual South Afrrican Film & Television Awards(SAFTA'S) took place on Saturday 9th March 2012 at the Gallagher Estate in Midrand, North of Johannesburg. The categories are as follows:

BEST T.V Soap: The wild,Generations,Muvhango,Scandal,Isidingo.
BEST actress in a T.V soap: Karlin Van Der Laag(Isidingo),Michell Botes(Isidingo),Lele Ledwaba(The Wild),Loise Barnes(Scandal)
BEST actor in a T.V soap: Mduduzi Mabaso(Rhythm City),Tumisho Masha(The Wild),Clint Brink(Scandal)
BEST Comedy: Gauteng maboneng,stokvel,Ga Re Dumele

BEST actor in feature film: Jeremy Crutchley(Retribution),Deon Lotz(Skoonheid),Joe Mafela(Retribution)Fana Mokoena(State of violence)

What are the South African Film & Television Awards(SAFTA'S)??

The SAFTA'S are presented annually under the credit of the National Film & Video Foundation of South Africa(NFVF), the awards were established in 2006. The main aim of the SAFTA is to celebrate excellence with regard to talent and creativity in the S.A film & T.V industry.
